For the past few years, I have been on the hunt for a good pair of booties. I wanted a pair that were both stylish AND comfortable/supportive. It wasn't hard to find booties that were strikingly beautiful, but I could only stand in them for a few minutes before something started to hurt. It also wasn't that difficult to find booties that were comfortable, but I just couldn't get behind the idea of wearing the same brands as my mom. Maybe in ten years, I'll be more okay with it. Ok, twenty. Alight, fifty.

I was beginning to lose hope that it would ever be possible.

But then I found them. Sam Edelman's Petty Bootie:

Gorgeous shoes, I know. But they also provide arch support and mold to your feet, in a way. The soft suede stretches a bit, so even with slightly wider feet, nothing pinches. There is also a thin layer of rubber on the heel, which makes it easier to walk on smooth surfaces.

The light tan color of the shoe makes it a great transition piece, from summer to fall and winter to spring (provided that the weather is dry!).

I guess the slight upside to all this too-warm-for-late-November-in-Philadelphia weather is that it gives more chances to wear these booties before they get packed away.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! Eat lots of food! And drink lots of wine! There is a lot to be thankful for.
